Federal Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi visited Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium to inspect the security arrangements for the ongoing Pakistan and Sri Lanka match.
During his visit, Naqvi reviewed the security measures in detail and emphasized that the Sri Lankan cricket team has been granted the status of “state guests.”
He assured that “there will be no compromise on the security of the visiting team.”

Highlighting the broader importance of safety and sports, Naqvi added, “Promoting sports and other activities in a secure and stable environment is our shared goal.”

The visit to Rawalpindi was carried out to review security measures following the recent blast in Islamabad.
In the ongoing match, Sri Lanka opted to bowl first after winning the toss.
Pakistan had been struggling at 95/4 earlier in their innings, but Salman Ali Agha and Hussain Talat revived the innings with a composed partnership of over 100 runs, both reaching their individual half-centuries.
