Sindh has recently launched its Sindh Job Portal (SJP), an all-digital and transparent platform to apply for government jobs across all provincial departments.

Created by the Science and Information Technology Department in collaboration with Sukkur IBA University, the portal streamlines every stage of recruitment – from ad placement to appointment.

Candidates first need to pass a screening test conducted by STS (Sukkur IBA Testing Service) in order to become eligible to apply for government jobs in Sindh through the Job Portal.

After passing, candidates will become eligible to submit applications via the newly launched portal.

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide on how you can register, apply, and track your government job application through the newly launched Sindh Job Portal.

Step 1: Visit the Sindh Job Portal

  • Go to the official Sindh Job Portal (SJP) website.
  • You can access it from your computer or mobile device using any modern browser.
  • The portal is available in Urdu, Sindhi, and English for user convenience.

Step 2: Register an Account

  • Click on “Register” or “Sign Up.”
  • Enter your CNIC number and mobile phone number (Should be same as created for STS test)
  • You’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS for verification.
  • After verifying your number, set a password to secure your account.
  • NOTE: Use your own CNIC and mobile number — this will link your test results and documents to your personal profile.

Step 3: Complete Your Profile

Once registered, log in and fill out your personal details:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Education history (Matric, Intermediate, Graduation, etc.)
  • Experience (if any)
  • Upload required documents:
  • CNIC
  • Matriculation certificate
  • Domicile
  • Passport-size photograph

The portal automatically pulls your test results and data from the STS (Sukkur IBA Testing Service) database if you’ve already taken a screening test.

Step 4: Check Available Vacancies

Browse through the “Job Listings” section to view current openings.

Each department – such as Education, Health, or Revenue – posts jobs as soon as vacancies are approved by the Finance Department.

Use the AI-based job matching tool or voice-enabled search (in Urdu or English) to find jobs suited to your qualifications.

Step 5: Take or Retake the Screening Test (If Needed)

For most positions (BPS-5 to BPS-15), you must pass a screening test conducted by Sukkur IBA University.

The first attempt is fully funded by the Sindh government.

If you don’t pass, you can retake the test multiple times.

Tests are conducted monthly, and results are available immediately after completion.

Once you pass, your record is automatically updated in the Sindh Job Portal database, and you can apply for any available job.

Step 6: Apply for Jobs

  • Select the job you’re interested in.
  • Review the eligibility criteria and required documents.
  • Click “Apply Now.”
  • Confirm your submission — you’ll receive an acknowledgment via SMS, email, or in-portal notification.

Step 7: Track Application and Recruitment Stages

The entire process — from application to appointment — happens online:

  • Shortlisting
  • Interview scheduling
  • Offer letters
  • Medical and police verification
  • Final appointment

Each update appears in your dashboard, and you’ll also receive SMS and email notifications at every stage.

Step 8: Verification and Appointment

The portal is integrated with:

  • Health Department (for medical verification)
  • Sindh Police Special Branch (for character verification)

Once verifications are complete, successful candidates receive a digital appointment letter through their account.

New vacancies are added regularly as departments post updates; the candidates can log in anytime to check new jobs or update their profiles.

The Information Department ensures job ads appear on the portal the same day they are published in newspapers.
