Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan has not yet signed his central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), reportedly due to certain conditions he wanted included before committing to the agreement, according to Geo Super.

According to the media outlet, Rizwan — who has been offered a Category B contract — raised a few requests that the board has not accepted so far.

The wicketkeeper-batter is currently the only player among the 30 contracted cricketers who has not signed the deal.

It was further suggested that there is little chance of the PCB meeting Rizwan’s demands at this stage.

Unlike in previous years, the PCB did not include any players in Category A for the 2025–26 cycle.

Instead, the board expanded the total number of contracted players to 30, distributing them equally across categories B, C, and D.

Several players, including Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, and Shadab Khan, received promotions to Category B following consistent performances last season.

The Category B list now features Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Mohammad Rizwan, among others.

The Category C group includes Abdullah Shafique, Faheem Ashraf, Naseem Shah, Saud Shakeel, and Mohammad Nawaz, while Category D features names such as Test skipper Shan Masood, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Wasim Jr., and Hussain Talat.

Meanwhile, new faces like Ahmed Daniyal, Salman Mirza, and Sufiyan Muqeem have been added to the central contract pool for the first time, reflecting the PCB’s intent to widen opportunities for emerging talent.
