The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has officially launched its Paid Internship Program 2025 for fresh graduates across Pakistan.
Designed to offer hands-on experience in a professional environment, the program is open to candidates from various academic disciplines and includes a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000 for the two-month duration.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how eligible candidates can apply for the program.

Applicants must begin by visiting the official WAPDA website at www.wapda.gov.pk. Navigate to the “Careers” section, where you will find the internship announcement titled:
“WAPDA Paid Internship Program for Fresh Graduates – 2025”
Available Disciplines and Vacancies
A total of 50 internship seats have been announced under the program, distributed as follows:
Electrical/Electronic & Mechanical Engineering – 16 seats
Civil Engineering – 14 seats
Geological Engineering – 5 seats
Computer Sciences / Information Technology – 3 seats
Finance & Accounting – 5 seats
Human Resource Management – 5 seats
Mass Communications – 2 seats

Seat Allocation
The seats are divided under open quota (40%) and provincial quota (60%), with the following distribution:
- Punjab – 6 seats
- Sindh – 6 seats
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – 6 seats
- Gilgit Baltistan – 3 seats
- Balochistan – 3 seats
- Azad Kashmir – 3 seats
- Ex-FATA – 3 seats
Check Your Eligibility
Before applying, carefully review the eligibility criteria. The internship is open to:
Fresh or recent graduates (within the last 3 years)
Candidates with a minimum CGPA of 2.8
Applicants who are 26 years old or younger
Male and female candidates from all provinces and regions of Pakistan
Additionally, review the quota distribution and available disciplines to confirm you are applying under the correct category.
Prepare Required Documents
Candidates must scan and upload the following documents in digital format:
Academic certificates and transcripts
Copy of CNIC
Domicile certificate
Updated CV/resume
Two recent passport-size photographs
Police verification form (mandatory only for engineering applicants)
Complete the Online Application
Once all documents are ready, fill out the online application form on the WAPDA website. Ensure that all information is correct and consistent with your official documents.
Upload the scanned documents in the required format, double-check your entries, and then submit the form online.
Note: Applications sent by hand, post, or email will not be accepted.
Deadline to Apply
All applications must be submitted on or before October 27, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected without notice.
Important Instructions
- Completion of the internship does not guarantee employment in WAPDA.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
- No TA/DA will be provided for interviews.
- Candidates must bring original documents to the interview.
- Applicants must have a valid bank account in their own name.
- WAPDA reserves the right to cancel or amend the program at any stage.
