Prior to the match, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi unveiled the tournament trophy in Dubai along with all team captains.

Salman Ali Agha clarified that no instructions were given to players to show extra aggression in the Pakistan-India clash. However, he admitted Pakistan’s fast bowlers naturally play with an aggressive approach.
The Pakistan captain stressed that his team will stay focused on their game plan. He noted that Pakistan performed well in the recent tri-nation series, which boosted their confidence and preparation.
