A theatre actress was arrested in Lahore after being reportedly charged with rape, torture, and threats against a minor domestic worker.
According to Dawn news reports, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed by the mother of the 16-year-old domestic worker, after which the Nawab Town Police arrested the actress, Samar Rana, from her Lahore residence.
According to details shared by police officials, a minor domestic worker was allegedly raped by the employee of Samar, along with four other unidentified men, inside her house.
The mother of the victim in the FIR claimed that the minor girl had been working at the actor’s home since August 08, claiming that the man living on the first floor of the Rana’s house drugged her daughter on Aug 14 and allegedly raped her multiple times along with four other men for a couple of days.

The victim’s mother further stated that the four other men were unknown to her child; however, she can identify them if presented.
In the FIR, the mother claimed that her daughter was kept drugged and confined in the house, where the accused captured pictures and recorded videos while assaulting her.
She accused the actor of physical assault and threatened her not to open up about the incident.
The victim reportedly managed to flee the house on August 18, but didn’t open up about the incident with her family.
On August 23, the victim’s mother reported the incident to police after noticing her daughter’s injuries.
Authorities raided the actor’s residence, taking her into custody, while additional raids are ongoing to apprehend other suspects involved.
