Dubai will mark Pakistan’s Independence Day with large-scale celebrations and special transport arrangements to accommodate thousands of attendees.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that Dubai Metro services will run an extra hour, operating until 2am on Monday, August 11. The extended schedule aims to make it easier for visitors to travel to and from the celebrations at Dubai Expo City.
Alongside the Metro extension, a substantial fleet of taxis will be deployed to ensure smooth transportation for all participants.

The Pakistan Association in Dubai, in collaboration with Dubai Police, will host the event at Expo City on August 10. Organizers expect more than 60,000 guests, making it one of the largest Independence Day gatherings for the Pakistani community in the UAE.
The celebration will feature Pakistani culture, arts, and folklore, offering residents and visitors a vibrant glimpse of the nation’s heritage. Prominent dignitaries, including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, are set to attend.
The event reflects Dubai’s strong cultural ties with Pakistan and its commitment to supporting community-led initiatives.
