The Ministry of Religious Affairs is set to begin collecting Hajj 2026 expenses in the first week of August, according to media reports.

Dues will be collected in two installments. The first payment is expected to range between Rs500,000 to Rs550,000. Collection will follow a first-come, first-served policy and will stop once Pakistan’s Hajj quota is filled.

Only applicants who have already registered for Hajj 2026 can deposit their dues. Payments must be made through designated banks listed by the Ministry.

So far, more than 450,000 Pakistanis have registered for Hajj 2026. However, Pakistan’s official quota stands at 179,210 pilgrims, covering both government and private schemes. The government has requested an increase in the quota to 230,000 to accommodate rising demand.

The Ministry confirmed that once payments reach the quota limit, further collections will immediately stop.
