PCB approves budget

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) approved Rs 18.3 billion budget for the fiscal year 2025–26.

The 78th meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Board of Governors was held today under the chairmanship of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi at the National Cricket Academy.

During the meeting, the budget estimates for the fiscal year 2025–26 were unanimously approved.

The board gave unanimous approval for total budget estimates amounting to Rs. 18.30 billion for the current fiscal year.

A decision was also made to recognize and reward the best-performing region each year to promote the development of cricket. The region that demonstrates the best performance annually will receive a special award.

It was further decided that staff performance will be regularly monitored. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the budget utilization for the fiscal year 2024–25. The board also ratified the decisions made in the previous board meeting.

Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza gave a detailed briefing on the key aspects of the budget. Board member Anwar Ghani led a closing prayer at the end of the meeting.
