Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced a plan to digitise all educational institutions, including schools under the Education Department.
During a meeting on school education, the CM decided to introduce facial recognition technology to digitise the attendance of teachers and students.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah stated that school administrations would be granted more authority, with headmasters receiving direct funding to improve their institutions.
The move aims to give schools financial autonomy, allowing them to manage their budgets independently.
Sindh currently has 36,300 primary schools and 2,600 elementary schools. The government plans to address the gap between primary and elementary education through these reforms.
