Despite ongoing hot and dry weather, Karachi will not receive rain for the next 10 to 15 days, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
However, a slight drop in heat intensity is expected from tomorrow, with sea breezes helping to moderate temperatures. Today, the temperature may reach up to 40°C.
Meanwhile, rain and snowfall have turned the weather cold in Gilgit-Baltistan, with intermittent snowfall reported in Chilas, Diamer, Babusar Top, Batugah Top, and Nanga Parbat.
Additionally, the Met Office forecasts rain with strong winds and thunderstorms today in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, northern Balochistan, and upper Punjab.
A day earlier, the city experienced hot weather, with temperatures ranging between 36°C and 39°C, according to the PMD.
On Monday, Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 39.1°C. Humidity levels are currently 40 percent, with light winds blowing from the northeast.
The PMD has forecast a slight drop in temperatures from tomorrow (Wednesday), with expected highs of 33°C to 35°C.
A significant change in weather conditions is anticipated from March 12, as sea breezes are set to return, providing relief from the heat.
