Train passengers traveling from Karachi to Lahore have received disappointing news as the Sir Syed Express service has been officially suspended from tomorrow.
A formal notification has been issued, confirming the closure of this outsourced service.
The Sir Syed Express, which operated between Karachi and Rawalpindi, was being managed by Ras Logistics. The train had been reinstated in September of last year under a public-private partnership.
The train featured a range of amenities, including one AC sleeper, three AC business coaches, one AC standard coach, eight economy coaches, and a dining car.
Passengers also benefited from food services provided by a high-level company, clean water supply, free Wi-Fi, and the ability to pay for tickets via mobile apps.
