In a proactive move to address the growing concerns of street crimes and overall law and order, Inspector General (IG) Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar, spearheaded a crucial decision-making session on Sunday, as reported by ARY News.

The IG chaired a comprehensive online conference utilizing the Police Station Record Management System’s dashboard to meticulously assess the prevailing law and order scenario in the province. During this session, pivotal decisions were made to enhance the overall law enforcement landscape, particularly focusing on curbing street crimes and other criminal activities.

As part of the strategic initiatives, clear instructions were issued to all Senior Superintendent Police (SSPs) to ensure prompt and accurate entries of crime reports into the Record Management System. This step aims to streamline data collection and analysis for effective decision-making and resource allocation.

The Sindh police chief, IG Riffat Mukhtar, underscored the importance of regular monitoring and issued directives to inspect the data on a weekly basis. This proactive approach ensures swift responsiveness to emerging trends and issues in the crime landscape. Additionally, instructions will be disseminated promptly to address specific challenges or areas requiring heightened attention.

The conference was further enriched by the insights provided by Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi and Deputy Inspector General (DIGs), who briefed IG Sindh on the current law and order situation. The collaborative efforts of senior officers were emphasized, urging increased coordination to curb crimes effectively and take decisive steps against criminal elements.
