This small advance suggests that buying interest is gradually returning, though the pace of gains remains subdued compared to the volatility seen in recent weeks. The market appears to be in a phase of cautious stabilization.
In 10 grams, 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 1,029 to Rs. 375,116, while 22-karat gold rose by Rs. 943 to Rs. 343,868. The consistent gains across all variants indicate measured buying pressure.
The uptick was supported by mild strength in global markets. The international gold price rose by $12 to $4,150, continuing its slow recovery from recent lows. This global stability provided a mildly positive cue for local traders.
Despite the recent recovery, gold prices remain significantly below their late-August peak of more than Rs483,000 per tola.
Compared with that level, the metal has lost approximately Rs45,000 per tola during the recent correction.
However, prices remain above the July lows of around Rs421,000 per tola.
Gold has now posted gains for two consecutive sessions, which may indicate improving buying interest. However, two positive sessions alone are not enough to confirm that a market bottom has been established.
Last week, gold rate in Pakistan staged a recovery, with the yellow metal bouncing back from the previous session’s decline. The 24-karat gold rate rose by Rs. 2,000, closing at Rs. 440,636 per tola.
