The 24-karat gold rate rose by Rs. 2,000, closing at Rs. 440,636 per tola.
This rebound recovers a significant portion of Thursday’s losses, suggesting that buying interest has returned at current levels. The recovery indicates that the market is finding support after the recent correction.
In 10 grams, 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 1,715 to Rs. 377,774, while 22-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,572 to Rs. 346,305. The gains across all variants indicate renewed buying pressure.
The recovery was supported by a positive global backdrop. The international gold price rose by $20 to $4,181, recovering from recent lows. This global strength provided a supportive environment for local prices.
Since the late August peak above Rs. 483,000, gold remains below those highs, having lost approximately Rs. 42,000 per tola during the recent correction. However, the metal remains well above the July lows near Rs. 421,000, and today’s recovery suggests that a bottom may be forming.
Earlier to this, Gold rate in Pakistan started October on a negative note, with the yellow metal declining in the first trading session of the new month. The 24-karat gold rate fell by Rs. 3,000, closing at Rs. 438,636 per tola.
This decline erases most of Wednesday’s gain, suggesting that the market remains under pressure and that the recent recovery may be short-lived. The persistent volatility continues to define trading conditions.
In 10 grams, 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 2,572 to Rs. 376,059, while 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 2,358 to Rs. 344,733. The declines across all variants indicate renewed selling pressure as the new month begins.
