The strong rebound marked the largest single-day gain in more than a week, indicating renewed buying interest after the recent correction. The decline in gold prices appears to have encouraged buyers to return to the market.
For 10 grams, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs6,773 to Rs392,006, while 22-karat gold rose by Rs6,208 to Rs359,351.
The recovery was supported by a strong rebound in international markets. The global gold price increased by $79 per ounce to $4,347, recovering from recent lows. The rise in international prices provided a key boost to the local bullion market.
Despite the latest recovery, gold prices remain below their late-August peak of more than Rs483,000 per tola.
However, the rebound from last week’s levels below Rs457,000 represents an increase of approximately Rs1,000 per tola in a single session.
Earlier this week, gold rates in Pakistan fell sharply, with 24-karat gold declining by Rs. 3,800 per tola as international gold prices also moved lower at the start of the new trading week.
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams decreased by Rs. 3,258 to Rs. 388,662, while 22-karat gold per 10 grams fell by Rs. 2,987 to Rs. 356,286.
All rates are officially certified by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, based on interbank exchange rates for 999-purity (24-karat) gold.
