This small uptick ends three consecutive sessions of decline for silver and suggests that buying interest may be returning at current levels.
In 10 grams, 24-karat silver increased by Rs. 9 to Rs. 6,060. The modest gains across both measurements indicate cautious buying activity.
The advance was supported by a stable global backdrop. The international silver price per ounce rose by $0.10 to $65.90, holding steady near recent levels. This global silver stability provided a supportive environment for local prices.
Since the late August peak near Rs. 7,329, silver has retreated approximately Rs. 260 per tola. However, the metal remains well above the July lows near Rs. 6,000, with gains of approximately Rs. 1,000 still intact. Today’s modest gain may signal that the correction is running out of steam.
A day earlier, silver prices in Pakistan continued their decline on Monday, September 07, with the 24-karat silver rate falling by Rs39 per tola to Rs7,059.
The latest decline extends silver’s recent downward trend as the precious metal gives back part of the gains recorded during its recovery from the July lows. Continued weakness suggests the market remains under selling pressure.
The 24-karat silver rate fell by Rs34 per 10 grams to Rs6,051. The decline across both measurements reflects the ongoing correction in the local silver market.
