Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced an expansion of its London flight operation, increasing services between Pakistan and the British capital to seven flights per week.

According to the national flag carrier’s spokesperson, PIA will operate five weekly flights from Islamabad to London and two weekly flights from Lahore to London starting from October 27.
PIA currently operates four flights per week to London. The additional services will increase the frequency to seven flights weekly, effectively providing daily connectivity between Pakistan and London.
The increased frequency is expected to give passengers greater flexibility when planning travel between the two countries.

The airline said the expansion reflects strong passenger confidence in PIA and growing demand for air travel between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The expansion has been made possible following the return of flight slots at London Heathrow Airport that had previously been allocated to foreign airlines.

The recovery of these slots has allowed PIA to increase its operations on one of its key international routes.
The additional flights are expected to particularly benefit overseas Pakistanis and other passengers travelling between Pakistan and the UK by providing more options and improved connectivity.
PIA said the increased flight frequency is also expected to strengthen its presence in the Pakistan-UK travel market as demand for international air travel continues to grow.
