The United Arab Emirates has halted all trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Iran until further notice, citing regional escalations that threaten regional and international peace and security.

The announcement was made by Afra Al Hameli, Director of the Strategic Communications Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), who rejected allegations regarding the current status of economic relations between the UAE and Iran.
Al Hameli said the UAE remains committed to dialogue, cooperation and regional integration as essential means of promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

“Al Hameli underscored that, in light of regional escalations that undermine regional and international peace and security, all trade, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran have been halted until further notice,” the UAE Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The UAE official also stressed that Abu Dhabi remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of the international financial system in accordance with international law and the highest global standards.

The announcement comes amid heightened regional tensions, with the UAE reiterating its position that dialogue and cooperation remain central to efforts aimed at maintaining regional stability.
