Two more police officers have been added to the investigation team probing the death of Karachi-based young businessman Mir Raza, taking the team’s total strength to seven members.

The development comes after Mir Raza’s body was exhumed as part of the investigation. A five-member committee was initially constituted to probe the case, headed by DIG Aamir Farooqi, with SSP RRF Ali Raza serving as its secretary.
The committee includes SP Investigation Korangi Qais Khan, SP Investigation Central Anum Tajamul, and SIO Zaman Town Chaudhry Ghazanfar.
According to a separate notification, DSP Sirajuddin and Inspector Muhammad Ali have now been added to the investigation team.
Mir Raza Case Latest Updates
Police officials confirmed that the addition of the two officers has expanded the team to seven members.
The move came a day after Mir Raza’s family requested the inclusion of a DSP and an inspector in the investigation team
Mir Raza, 25, went missing on July 28 before his body was found the following day in bushes near Shahi Qila Ground in Gulistan-e-Jauhar with a gunshot wound.

The case has since seen several major developments, including questions over the initial post-mortem, the exhumation of the body, a fresh forensic examination and the formation of a new investigation team.
Police have also expanded their probe to include a guesthouse in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and are examining forensic and digital evidence to establish the sequence of events leading to Mir Raza’s death.
The investigation team will now proceed with the case based on the findings of the fresh medical examination and other available evidence.
