Gold rate rises to Rs 457,336 as gradual recovery continues

Karachi bullion market continued its steady upward march on Monday, with gold prices posting modest gains as the recovery from recent lows gains traction. The today gold rate in Karachi for 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 800, closing at Rs. 457,336.

This marks a continuation of the gradual recovery that began in late July, with gold now having climbed approximately Rs. 36,000 from the multi-year lows below Rs. 421,000.

In grams, 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 685 to Rs. 392,091, while 22-karat gold rose by Rs. 628 to Rs. 359,429. The consistent gains across all variants suggest sustained buying interest at current levels.

Gold rates in Karachi, August 10, 2026:

  • Gold, 24K per tola: Rs. 457,336 (+800)
  • Gold, 24K per 10 grams: Rs. 392,091 (+985)
  • Gold, 22K per 10 grams: Rs. 359,429 (+628)

The international gold price per ounce rose by $8 to $4,349, building on recent gains. This steady global support provides a solid foundation for local price appreciation.

Since the historic peak above Rs. 563,000 in early March, gold remains significantly below those highs, but the recovery from the July lows below Rs. 421,000 represents a bounce of approximately 8.5%.

Last week, gold rates in Karachi and across Pakistan recorded another increase, with the bullion market extending its recovery for a fourth consecutive session as international gold prices climbed further, pushing domestic rates above the Rs. 456,000 mark.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 2,200, settling at Rs. 456,536.

The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,887 to Rs. 391,406, while 22-karat gold per 10 grams increased by Rs. 1,729, settling at Rs. 358,801.

All rates are officially certified by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, based on interbank exchange rates for purity 999 (24K).
