Gold rates in Karachi rise above Rs. 456,000 after fourth straight gain

Today’s gold rates in Karachi and across Pakistan recorded another increase, with the bullion market extending its recovery for a fourth consecutive session as international gold prices climbed further, pushing domestic rates above the Rs. 456,000 mark.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 2,200, settling at Rs. 456,536.

The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,887 to Rs. 391,406, while 22-karat gold per 10 grams increased by Rs. 1,729, settling at Rs. 358,801.

Today’s gold rates in Karachi and Pakistan, August 8, 2026:

  • Gold, 24K per tola: Rs. 456,536 (+2,200)
  • Gold, 24K per 10 grams: Rs. 391,406 (+1,887)
  • Gold, 22K per 10 grams: Rs. 358,801 (+1,729)

International gold prices also advanced, rising by $22 to settle at $4,341 per ounce, extending the global precious metals rally and supporting another increase in domestic gold prices.

The latest rise in international gold rates was reflected in Pakistan’s bullion market, with today’s gold rates in Karachi moving higher across all major categories.

The market has now posted gains for four consecutive sessions following powerful recovery this week.

Gold Extends Recovery Above Rs. 456,000

Saturday’s increase follows Friday’s Rs. 5,100 per tola gain, which pushed domestic gold prices from Rs. 449,236 to Rs. 454,336.

The latest Rs. 2,200 increase has now taken the price further above the Rs. 455,000 threshold.

The last four consecutive sessions have added Rs. 28,600 per tola to domestic gold prices, marking a strong recovery from the recent weakness in the bullion market.

At Rs. 456,536 per tola, gold rates in Karachi have now crossed Rs. 456,000, with the market continuing to recover following the sharp losses recorded during the mid-July correction.

International Gold Prices Support Domestic Recovery

International gold at $4,341 per ounce has also moved higher, with the increase providing further support to domestic bullion prices.
