The Rotary Club of Karachi Centennial hosted a luncheon meeting featuring Sindh Minister for Information Technology and Science, Ali Rashid, who highlighted the province’s digital transformation plans and the growing opportunities available for youth and women in Pakistan’s technology sector.

The event brought together Rotary members, business leaders, and professionals to discuss the future of Sindh’s digital economy and initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and technology-based employment.
Addressing the gathering, Ali Rashid said the Sindh government is committed to strengthening the province’s IT infrastructure and creating opportunities for young people to build careers in the digital economy.
He said the government’s focus includes promoting entrepreneurship, expanding digital skills training, and increasing women’s participation in the technology sector.

“The future of Sindh lies in its digital economy. By empowering our youth and creating inclusive tech spaces for women, we are not just creating employment, but positioning Sindh as a leading tech hub,” Ali Rashid said.
The minister added that digital inclusion and skill development remain key priorities to help young professionals compete in the global freelance and technology markets.

The luncheon was organized by Vice President Taab Ahmed Khan and presided over by Club President Omar Niaz.
