The United States Mission in Pakistan commemorated the 250th anniversary of American independence, celebrating a historic milestone while highlighting the strengthening relationship between the United States and Pakistan.

The event, held as part of the U.S. Independence Day celebrations, focused on the values of freedom, dignity, democracy, and self-determination that have shaped the United States since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Addressing the reception, Natalie A. Baker reflected on the significance of the anniversary and emphasized the progress made in U.S.-Pakistan relations over the past two years.

She said the relationship between the two countries has evolved into a stronger strategic partnership based on mutual respect, shared interests, and cooperation in areas of security and economic development. Baker also highlighted the role of Donald Trump in strengthening diplomatic engagement between Washington and Islamabad.

According to Baker, direct engagement between American and Pakistani leadership has contributed to closer ties and enhanced cooperation on regional and international issues.

One of the major topics highlighted during the event was Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran. Baker noted that Islamabad’s relations with both countries positioned it uniquely to support diplomatic engagement and dialogue between long-standing adversaries.

She praised Pakistan’s efforts in hosting high-level talks and described the development as an important moment in the country’s diplomatic history.

A special attraction at the event was a collection of 16 Liberty Bell replicas painted by Pakistani artists and students through the Embassy’s Lincoln Corner network. The artwork represented different interpretations of freedom, democracy, opportunity, and cultural exchange between the two nations.

Officials said the celebration aimed to highlight the shared aspirations of the American and Pakistani people while reinforcing the importance of continued cooperation in education, culture, trade, security, and diplomacy.
