The Army Rocket Force Command carried out a successful test launch of the indigenously developed Fatah-IV ground-launched cruise missile, according to the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, the missile system is equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigational technology and is capable of accurately engaging long-range targets.

The statement said the training launch was conducted to improve operational readiness, evaluate troop efficiency, and validate the technical performance of various upgraded subsystems designed to enhance precision and survivability.
ISPR stated that senior officers from the Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command, along with scientists and engineers involved in the missile’s development, witnessed the successful training fire.
The Fatah-IV missile is considered part of Pakistan’s indigenous missile development programme aimed at strengthening the country’s conventional defence capabilities.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmad Baber Sidhu congratulated the scientists, engineers, and military personnel involved in the project.
The military leadership appreciated the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment demonstrated during the successful test launch of the F-series missile system.

In September 2025, Pakistan had also successfully carried out a training launch of the Fatah-IV cruise missile with a reported range of 750 kilometres.
Pakistan has continued expanding its indigenous missile and defence technology programmes in recent years as part of broader efforts to strengthen strategic and conventional deterrence capabilities.
