Law enforcement agencies in Karachi have arrested a wanted terrorist during a joint operation, recovering weapons and explosive materials, according to media reports.
According to ARY News, the operation was carried out by Pakistan Rangers and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the SITE Area of Karachi, where a suspect identified as Noor Alam, also known as Wafadar, was taken into custody.

The arrested individual is affiliated with a banned militant group commonly referred to as “Fitna al-Khawarij.” He reportedly joined a faction led by Mufti Noor Wali in 2014 and was involved in attacks on security forces in South Waziristan.
Media reports said the suspect was also linked to a 2021 attack on a Levies check post in Makeen, where two militants were killed and six security personnel were abducted during the incident.

Officials further stated that the arrested militant had been involved in planting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and carrying out bomb attacks.
After past operations, he reportedly fled to Afghanistan, where he remained associated with a militant network.
Investigators revealed that the suspect had been operating under the directions of a commander identified as Bilal, alias Toofan, and had recently gone into hiding in Karachi to reorganize the network.

During the raid, authorities recovered a significant cache of weapons and explosive material from the suspect’s possession.
The arrested individual has been handed over to the CTD for further interrogation, while raids are ongoing to apprehend his accomplices, according to officials.
