A protest rally was held in Karachi on Friday against the attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, causing major traffic disruptions on several key roads in the city.

The demonstration took place on M.A. Jinnah Road, where a large number of protesters gathered and raised slogans against Israel. Participants carried placards condemning Israeli actions and expressing support for Iran.

According to police officials, the rally started near Khuwaja Asna Ashari Mosque and participants planned to march toward Native Jetty Bridge.

Major Roads Closed for Traffic

Due to the rally, the main M.A. Jinnah Road from Kharadar Police Station to Tower was closed for traffic. Traffic police diverted vehicles coming from Kharadar toward Yaqoobia Mosque.

Authorities also closed Abu Al‑Ispahani Road from Al-Asif Square to Paradise Bakery Chowk due to another rally.

Traffic from Maskan Chowrangi was diverted toward Fariya Chowk, while vehicles from Al-Asif were redirected to the service road.

Additional Traffic Disruptions Across the City

Traffic alerts issued by Karachi Traffic Police said several other roads were temporarily closed due to rallies and security arrangements.

At Numaish Chowrangi, all directions of M.A. Jinnah Road were closed due to a religious group rally.

Traffic coming from Gurumandir was diverted toward PPP Chowrangi, while vehicles from Society Office were redirected to Kashmir Road.

Another rally near Gulshan‑e‑Hadeed also caused the closure of a section of the National Highway, with traffic diverted through township roads.

Traffic Police Advisory

The Karachi Traffic Police advised citizens to use alternative routes and avoid affected areas to prevent delays. Commuters were also asked to contact the traffic helpline 1915 for guidance about road conditions and diversions.

Officials said traffic police personnel were deployed at key points to keep traffic moving and assist motorists.
