According to details, the PCB believes in giving confidence to the leadership rather than making sudden replacements, a shift from past practices after tournament defeats.

Reports further confirmed that head coach Mike Hesson will continue his role in both the ODI and T20I formats as per his contract.

In the T20I format, Salman Ali Agha will retain the captaincy, while Shaheen Afridi will continue leading the ODI side, with the board giving them the green light to move forward.

Ahead of the upcoming series against Bangladesh, the squad has been announced, with senior players Babar Azam and Saim Ayub being dropped.

Additionally, Director of High-Performance Center Aaqib Javed and the selection committee will continue their roles, maintaining operational continuity across Pakistan cricket.
