On the first day of Eid-ul-Azha, the District Central Police took swift action and apprehended 91 individuals involved in the illegal collection of animal skins. Cases have been registered against them.
As per the instructions of SSP District Central Rana Maruf Usman, the police conducted operations in various areas including Shariah Noor Jahan, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Joharabad, Rizvia Society, Bilal Colony, Temuria, Supermarket, and Liaquatabad. The crackdown targeted those unlawfully collecting animal skins during the religious festival.
The police spokesperson stated that the arrested suspects were found in possession of skins and cash, which have been confiscated by the authorities. Interestingly, a significant number of the apprehended individuals are reported to be Afghan nationals, indicating their involvement in the illegal skin collection trade.
In order to curb the illegal activity, the police continue to closely monitor skin collectors and take necessary actions to enforce the law. The arrests made on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha send a strong message that the authorities are committed to maintaining law and order during the festival and cracking down on illegal activities.
The illegal collection of animal skins during Eid-ul-Azha remains a persistent issue in many areas. The skins hold significant commercial value, and unscrupulous individuals seek to profit from their collection. However, such actions not only violate the law but also deprive legitimate organizations and charities of the opportunity to benefit from the skins.
The District Central Police’s efforts to apprehend those involved in illegal skin collection are commendable. By taking swift action and registering cases against the offenders, they are sending a clear message that such activities will not be tolerated.
As the Eid celebrations continue, authorities will remain vigilant in ensuring that the illegal collection of animal skins is curbed, allowing for a peaceful and lawful observance of the religious festival.
