This update comes as part of the provincial cabinet’s decision on May 2, 2024, approved by the competent authority, to regulate the sale and registration fees of exclusive vehicle number plates, popularly known as choice numbers.
According to the notification, fees for specific prime registration marks have been categorized into different brackets.
CNIC-based number plates now treated as private property in Sindh
For example, highly sought-after numbers like “786” and “110” are now priced at Rs 2 million rupees. Series such as “111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 666, 777, 888, 999” are set at 1 million rupees, while the series from “100, 200, 300″ up to “900” will cost 0.5 million rupees.
Lower-tier choice numbers, including “001” to “009,” are also priced at 0.5 million rupees. Any other choice number not listed in the above categories will have a fee of 0.3 million rupees.
