The Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection has set the Zakat Nisab for the year 2026. The Administrator General of Zakat declared that the Zakat Nisab for this year is Rs. 503,529.
According to the official notification, if the balance in any saving account on the first day of Ramadan is less than Rs. 503,529, no Zakat will be deducted from that account.

Zakat deduction will only apply to accounts holding amounts equal to or above this threshold.
The notification further explains that on the first day of Ramadan, Zakat will be deducted from all saving accounts and profit and loss sharing accounts.

The collected Zakat funds will be deposited into the Central Zakat Account maintained by the State Bank of Pakistan.
