The Sindh government has transferred Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Municipal Commissioner Syed Muhammad Afzal Zaidi with immediate effect and appointed Ms. Sumera Hussain as the new Municipal Commissioner of Karachi.
According to an official notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, Afzal Zaidi, a PAS officer in Grade 20, has been directed to report to the department without delay.

The notification stated that Ms. Sumera Hussain, an Ex-PCS officer in Grade 19, has been given the additional charge of Municipal Commissioner KMC until further orders.
The administrative change was approved by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah and communicated to relevant authorities for immediate implementation.
