Australia have announced their squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, which will act as their final build-up ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The series will be played entirely at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with matches scheduled across four days starting from January 29.
Experienced all-rounder Mitchell Marsh will continue to lead the side.

Senior players such as Travis Head, Cameron Green and Josh Inglis are also included after featuring in Australia’s recent Ashes campaign against England.
Several key players, however, will miss the tour.
Nathan Ellis, Tim David, Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins have been rested as selectors manage workloads and allow injured players time to fully recover.
Cummins, Hazlewood and David are all continuing rehabilitation from recent injuries.

To cover the absentees, selectors have added a number of players, including Sean Abbott, Mahli Beardman, Ben Dwarshuis, Jack Edwards, Mitch Owen, Josh Philippe and Matthew Renshaw.
Young fast bowler Mahli Beardman and all-rounder Jack Edwards have earned call-ups following standout performances in the Big Bash League.
Despite being part of squads earlier in the summer, both are yet to make their international debuts.
Australia’s Chair of Selectors George Bailey said the tour offers an important chance for emerging players to gain exposure at the highest level.
“The series is a great opportunity for those on the brink of selection and some young players we rate highly to gain valuable experience with the World Cup group in Pakistan,” Bailey said.
“Some are already experienced international players, while Mahli Beardman has been with the group a number of times and Jack Edwards joined the squad for the final one-day match against India in Sydney last year.”
The three T20Is will be played on January 29, January 31 and February 1.
This will be Australia’s third tour of Pakistan since their historic return in March–April 2022, when they played a Test series, followed by ODIs and a one-off T20I.
Australia also featured in three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
Pakistan and Australia have faced each other 28 times in T20 Internationals.
Historically, Pakistan and Australia have met 28 times in T20 Internationals, with Australia winning 14 matches, Pakistan winning 13, and one match ending with no result.
