Major roads in Karachi were closed on Sunday as police announced traffic diversions ahead of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) public gathering.
According to Police official statement, the road were closed due to security concerns, meanwhile the party officials confirmed it would hold a rally near Mazar-i-Quaid.

According to a traffic alert issued by the police, several key routes in the city were shut to traffic.
Road Closed in Karachi:
Roads from Gurumandar towards Numaish, Numaish Chowrangi to Society Signal, and Peoples Chowrangi to the VIP Gate were closed for security reasons.
Traffic Diversion:
Police also shared alternative routes for commuters to avoid inconvenience.
- Traffic from Gurumandar was diverted towards Soldier Bazaar No. 3.
- Vehicles coming from Society Signal were redirected towards Aisha Aziz Road.
- Traffic from PPP Chowrangi was diverted to Jail Chowrangi and Gurumandar.
The road closures came as PTI leaders remained firm on holding the rally in Karachi on Sunday.

The party announced that the public gathering would now take place at Mazar-i-Quaid after alleging that Sindh police raided Bagh-i-Jinnah, the originally approved venue, late Saturday night.
PTI Rally Update in Karachi
PTI claimed that party workers were subjected to violence during the alleged police action at Bagh-i-Jinnah. The rally is part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s three-day visit to Sindh, during which he is leading the party’s street mobilisation campaign.

The KP chief minister arrived in Karachi on Friday afternoon and visited Hyderabad on Saturday. PTI plans to conclude his visit with the Karachi rally on Sunday.
Speaking to local media, PTI spokesperson Mohammad Ali Bozdar alleged that police had blocked multiple roads and were not allowing party workers to enter Bagh-i-Jinnah, despite the Sindh government issuing a no-objection certificate for the rally.
Bozdar said the KP chief minister would now arrive at Mazar-i-Quaid at around 3pm. He reiterated claims that PTI workers were being stopped at various points across the city.
