A severe outbreak of stray dog attacks occurred three days ago in Jumma Goth, Korangi, Karachi, leaving more than 20 people injured in a single day.
The incident involved a dog suspected to be rabid, which reportedly attacked both residents and other animals in the area.

The victims sustained serious injuries, with flesh torn from different parts of their bodies.
They were rushed immediately to Indus Hospital, many of them covered in blood and in critical condition.
The chaotic situation at the hospital was described by Dr. Naseem Salahuddin, head of the Infectious Diseases Department, who said, “Three days ago, the hospital experienced utter chaos. Over 20 patients were brought in after being bitten by a single suspected rabid dog. Their wounds were extremely serious. The dog was attacking not only people but also other dogs in the area.”

Hospital officials further reported that the facility is now receiving 70 to 80 new dog-bite cases daily, highlighting the growing concern over stray animals in the city.
Tragically, seven rabies-related deaths have been recorded so far.
Authorities and local residents are being urged to remain vigilant and immediately report any stray animals showing aggressive behavior.
