The Sindh cabinet has approved the release of Rs. 960 million for the purchase of new public transport buses to improve commuting facilities across the province.
According to Geo News, the decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah.

The cabinet also approved Rs. 5.6 billion for the development of the Thar coal railway project.
Briefing the meeting, the chief minister said the project includes the construction of a 105-kilometre railway line from Islamkot to Chhor.
He explained that the railway link will help transport coal from Thar to Karachi and other parts of the country.

The meeting was informed that the railway line is being developed on a 50-50 cost-sharing basis between the Sindh government and the Ministry of Railways.
The cabinet also discussed plans for setting up an IT tower in Karachi.
For this purpose, a privately owned building has been selected to establish the Sindh IT Tower as part of efforts to promote the technology sector in the city.
