Pakistan Army extended their dominance at the 35th National Games on Thursday after securing 31 more gold medals across multiple events, including athletics, swimming and various team sports.
By the end of sixth action-packed day in Karachi, Pakistan Army comfortably held the top spot on the medals table with 144 gold medals, along with 72 silver and 42 bronze.
WAPDA stayed in second place despite improving their gold count by 15, taking their total to 61.

Pakistan Navy followed in third position with 28 gold medals.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan Army also lifted the women’s swimming general trophy, driven by an outstanding performance from Olympian Jehanara Nabi.
She captured five individual gold medals and contributed to three team golds, ensuring Army’s firm grip on the discipline.

The department finished women’s swimming with 12 golds, significantly ahead of Sindh, which managed four.
Among the provinces, Punjab continued to lead with 10 gold medals and a total of 84 medals overall.
Host Sindh remained close behind with nine gold medals to their name.
This year’s National Games include 14 participating sides representing both departments and provinces.

These feature Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, WAPDA, Pakistan Police and the Higher Education Commission.
The 35th National Games will continue until December 13 and will conclude with a closing ceremony at the National Bank Stadium, where Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is expected to attend.
