Men’s and women’s padel exhibition matches at the 35th National Games officially got underway in Karachi, marking an energetic start to the competition at the new KMC venue.

The event was inaugurated by Pakistan Padel Federation Secretary General Qurat-ul-Ain, while Vice Presidents Danish Ahmed and Rehan Uddin, Finance Secretary Karima Bano, CEO Mudassar Arain, Marketing Director Yamna Malik, and a large number of spectators were also present.

On the opening day, women’s teams from Sindh dominated the court.

Sindh One beat Sindh Two by 2-0, while Sindh Three defeated Sindh Four by the same margin.

Later, Sindh One overcame Sindh Five 2-0, and Sindh Three outplayed Sindh Two 2-0.

Sindh Four also secured a 2-0 win against Sindh Five.

In the men’s category, Group A fixtures saw Sindh One register a 2-0 win over Gilgit-Baltistan, followed by another 2-0 victory against Sindh Three.

Gilgit-Baltistan later defeated Balochistan 2-0, while Balochistan and Sindh Three both received walkovers against Punjab.

In Group B, Sindh beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2-0, and Sindh Four earned a 2-1 win over Sindh Two.

Gilgit-Baltistan also prevailed 2-1 against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Gilgit Two and Sindh Two picked up walkovers against Islamabad.

The semifinals and final of the exhibition event will be played today, Thursday, December 10.
