DSP Kashif Nadeem explained that these robo cars will operate specifically in no-parking zones, where trained drivers will manage the vehicles while traffic officials closely monitor the overall performance of the system.
He said driver training is already underway, allowing officers to understand the vehicle controls, enforcement procedures, and required reporting mechanisms before the robo-cars begin practical field operations in the metropolis.

According to the DSP, the system is expected to be launched either at the end of December or during the early days of January 2026, depending on training outcomes and operational testing.
Nadeem also confirmed that Karachi police are adopting drone technology to issue violation tickets for no-parking and double-parking offenses, ensuring strict enforcement without requiring officers to be physically present.

He said these drones will help cover congested and high-risk zones where traditional patrolling faces challenges, enabling faster detection of rule violators and immediate evidence collection through recorded visuals.
The DSP noted that multiple technologies are being prepared simultaneously, and these systems will be introduced in phases beginning mid-December and continuing until the end of December 2025.
