Pakistan Army continued to dominate the 35th National Games on Monday, solidifying their top position with 46 gold medals in the ongoing multi-sport event.
The Games, featuring 14 teams from departments and provinces, are being held in Karachi and will continue until December 13.

According to the latest tally released by the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), the Army leads with a total of 72 medals, including 46 gold, 15 silver, and 11 bronze.
Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) hold the second spot with 14 golds, eight silvers, and 11 bronze, while Pakistan Navy are third with seven gold medals.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) currently sit fourth with four golds, six silvers, and five bronzes.

Among the provincial teams, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is leading with two golds and 17 overall medals, closely followed by Punjab and host Sindh, each with one gold medal.
The 35th National Games include 14 teams representing departments and provinces, such as Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, WAPDA, Pakistan Police, and the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The closing ceremony is set to be held at the National Bank Stadium, expected to be attended by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The Games were formally inaugurated by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday at the same venue.
With a consistent performance across various disciplines, Pakistan Army appears on course to approach a remarkable half-century of gold medals, maintaining their dominant position in the 35th edition of the National Games.
