The last draw of 2025 for the Rs 40,000 premium prize bonds has been announced, exciting investors across the country.

According to the National Savings Center, the draw for these premium bonds will take place on December 10, 2025, giving bondholders a chance to win significant cash prizes.

Premium prize bonds differ from regular national prize bonds as they are registered bonds issued in the investor’s name.

Bondholders not only earn profit every six months but are also eligible for quarterly draws, provided they adhere to the scheduled “shut period.”

The scheme is managed and supervised by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS).

Each bond carries a unique alphanumeric number, with the letters indicating the series and the numbers showing the bond’s serial number.

All bonds are equally eligible to win prizes.

Major prizes for Rs 40,000 premium prize bonds 2025:

First Prize: 8 crore rupees

Second Prize: 3 crore rupees (three prizes)

Third Prize: 500,000 rupees

The upcoming draw will be held at the National Savings Center in Sialkot.

Investors are eagerly waiting for the results, as this is the final major draw of the year featuring multi-crore prizes.

First Prize (8 crore rupees): Bond number 095187

Tax details:

Under government policy, premium prize bonds and the profits earned from them are exempt from Zakat.

However, withholding tax will apply to both the profit and the prize money according to the current government rates.
