Pakistan name squad for ACC U19 Asia Cup starting December 12

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ACC U19 Asia Cup 2025, with last year’s team member Farhan Yousaf appointed as captain for the event, which will run in Dubai from 12 to 21 December.

The 50-over tournament will feature eight teams and will also act as an important build-up for the ICC U19 World Cup, scheduled to be jointly hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia from 15 January to 6 February 2026.

Pakistan have been placed in Group A with India, Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 3.

Group B includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Qualifier 2 and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan will open their campaign on 12 December against Qualifier 3 at The Sevens Stadium.

Their second match, a much-anticipated contest against India, will take place on December 14 at the ICC Academy Ground.

The final group fixture is set for 16 December against Qualifier 1 at the same venue.

The semi-finals will be played on 19 December, followed by the title clash on 21 December.

Captain Farhan Yousaf, 18, heads into the event after a strong run in the National Men’s U19 Cup, where he scored 369 runs in seven matches, including a century and two fifties.

Usman Khan, who scored a century in the previous Asia Cup, has been named vice-captain following an impressive season for FATA in which he scored 429 runs with two centuries and a half-century.

The squad is set to gather in Karachi today, December 2, for a training camp, while the travel schedule to Dubai will be announced later.
