Residents of several areas in Karachi have been informed that water supply will be temporarily suspended for three days due to essential repair work on the city’s aging water infrastructure.
The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has begun replacing an old, damaged 60-inch pipeline located along the BRT corridor with a modern and more efficient pipe.
The KWSB spokesperson explained that the work is being carried out near the Peoples Secretariat to ensure the city’s water distribution system becomes safer, more stable, and reliable for residents.

The repair work will be carried out from November 29 to December 1.
During this period, the affected pipeline will remain closed, and water supply interruptions are unavoidable.
The spokesperson noted that the repair work is expected to be completed within 48 hours.
Areas most affected by the disruption include Saddar Town, Jamshed Road, PIB, and Lines Area.
Residents have been advised to take precautions, store sufficient water in advance, and use it wisely during this period to avoid inconvenience.
