The draft for the Pakistan Tape Ball Premier League 2025 has been completed, with all eight franchises finalising their squads for the upcoming season of the UBL Ameen Pakistan Tape Ball Premier League scheduled to take place from 16th December to 31st December 2025 in Karachi.
The Pakistan Tape Ball Foundation, in collaboration with Badar Expo Solutions, is presenting this major tournament under the theme “street to stadium,” bridging informal cricket talent with a professionally managed national platform for emerging tape ball cricket stars.
The league includes eight franchises representing Karachi, Lahore, Larkana, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Quetta. Each city team selected its players during the recently held drafting ceremony in Karachi.
Ahead of the Draft, CEO of Badar Expo Solutions and Chairman of UBL Ameen Pakistan Tape Ball Premier League, Zohair Nazeer, said the competition will project a positive image of the country and provide meaningful opportunities for young tape-ball players.
He added that the league offers an international-level chance for local street cricket players to display their talent. Nazeer highlighted that his vision is to turn street cricketers into national stars.
PTPL has evolved from the successful execution of four editions of the Karachi Tape Ball Premier League.
The league is being guided under the esteemed patronage of legendary cricketer Javed Miandad, with support from cricketing icons Sadiq Muhammad, Haroon Rasheed, and Tauseef Ahmed.
Their involvement highlights the significance of tape ball cricket as the foundational stage for numerous international players who have gone on to represent Pakistan.
