Pakistan and India are set to renew their rivalry on Sunday, February 15, in Colombo during the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup, as the ICC officially announced the complete schedule for the tournament, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

This will mark the first meeting between the two sides since their three intense encounters at the Asia Cup 2025.

The highly anticipated match will take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium and will be Pakistan’s third group-stage fixture.

Both teams have been placed in the same group, which also includes USA, Netherlands and Namibia.

The tournament will be played from February 7 to March 8 across multiple cities in the host nations: Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad in India, and Colombo and Kandy in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan will begin the tournament on February 7 against the Neatherlands in Colombo.

Their second match will be played on February 10 against USA at the same venue, before they face arch-rivals India on February 15.

Pakistan will conclude their group-stage journey on February 18 against the Namibia.

The team will play all group matches either in Colombo.

Group B features Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman.

Group C includes England, West Indies, Italy, Bangladesh, and Nepal, while Group D features Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and UAE.

The 2026 T20 World Cup will follow the same format as the 2024 edition, with 20 teams divided into four groups of five.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Eight stage, forming two further groups of four.

The leading two sides from each Super Eight group will qualify for the semi-finals, followed by the final.

If India advance beyond the group stage, their Super Eight matches will be played in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kolkata.

If they qualify for the semi-finals, their knockout match is scheduled to take place in Mumbai.

The second semi-final will be played in Colombo or Kolkata, depending on whether Sri Lanka or Pakistan qualify.

The final is set for Ahmedabad but could be shifted to Colombo if Pakistan reach the final.
