Earlier, the board had shared updated valuations with all existing franchises, except Multan Sultans, giving teams the option to accept the terms or risk losing their rights to new owners.
For the Qalandars, the renewal marks a fresh chapter for a franchise that has grown from early struggles to become the first team to win back-to-back PSL titles.

According to journalists, the management confirmed that the decision was straightforward: the PCB offered the renewal, and the Qalandars quickly signed on, reflecting their trust in the league’s direction under the current board.
