The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially begun the process of adding two new teams to the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced on Saturday.
Naqvi, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), shared the PCB’s invitation for potential bidders.
The banner outlined key details for parties interested in purchasing the new franchises, confirming that the deadline for submitting technical proposals is December 15 at 11:00 AM, with bids to be opened half an hour later.

According to the PCB’s invitation letter:
“Pakistan Cricket Board invites bids from interested parties who wish to acquire the Team Franchise Rights for two new teams of the PSL. Bid documents containing all relevant details may be obtained from the undersigned. Deadline for submission of Technical Proposals is 15th December 2025 at 11:00 AM. The proposals shall be opened at 11:30 AM on the same day. Only technically qualified bidders will be allowed to participate further in the process.”

Sharing the announcement, Naqvi wrote: “The Pakistan Super League is about to get Bigger and Better! Process for the sale of Two New Teams has been launched. Time for two new dreams [PSL] to come true.”
The move follows the PCB’s completion of an independent valuation exercise for existing franchises and other commercial rights.

After the valuations were finalised, renewal offer letters for the upcoming 10-year cycle were sent to all compliant PSL franchises, who must now respond within the given timeframe.
To ensure transparency, the board arranged joint and individual meetings between franchise representatives and the independent valuer, EY MENA.
These meetings allow franchise owners to review how the valuations were calculated and raise any concerns.
Meanwhile, according to ESPNcricinfo, Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has yet to receive an official offer from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to renew his franchise ownership.

The PCB has also received valuation reports for the two new PSL teams.
Interested buyers will select from the following shortlisted cities:
Hyderabad
Sialkot
Muzaffarabad
Faisalabad
Gilgit
Rawalpindi
Reiterating its focus on integrity, the PCB stated that the entire process is designed to remain fair, open, and clear for all stakeholders, as the league prepares to expand ahead of its next cycle.
