Lahore Police have developed a comprehensive security plan for this year’s Tablighi Ijtima in Raiwind, providing for safe movement and strict monitoring throughout this large religious gathering.
Police officials confirmed that over 3,800 officers and personnel would be deployed inside and around the venue, supported by 1,000 personnel specially assigned to handle traffic flow management.
He reported that the department has created 14 police camps to assist participants, as well as three main entry points, 20 checkpoints and 40 walk-through gates to provide tight screening of participants.

Authorities confirmed that 128 CCTV cameras had been activated across Ijtima site to allow real-time monitoring and immediate response in case of emergencies or suspicious movements detected by surveillance teams.
Bilal Siddique Kamiana of Lahore CCPO recently stated that the first session of Tablighi Ijtima would take place from November 6 to November 9, and thousands of participants are anticipated from across Pakistan.
He directed field officers to carry out biometric verification of arriving participants as this step would help improve security records, maintain discipline and prevent any unlawful activities during the four-day event.

The Chief Commissioner of Police announced that police, traffic wardens, and specialized units have been put on alert while rescue services have coordinated closely to provide medical assistance in case of an emergency situation.
Officials confirmed that special traffic arrangements have been put in place to relieve congestion on Raiwind Road and surrounding routes, so participants and local residents experience minimal discomfort during peak hours.

Today, November 06, marks the inaugural phase of an annual gathering, beginning after Asar prayers at Raiwind.
Organisers announced that the gathering will culminate with collective prayers on November 9 and all preparations, such as tents, water supply, electricity distribution and sanitation facilities have already been completed.
Security officials stressed the need for all departments to work cooperatively in maintaining order during Tablighi Ijtima 2018. For its success, participants’ cooperation will be essential for its peaceful conclusion.
