84 polling stations deemed sensitive in Karachi’s cantonment board elections

Ahead of the cantonment board elections in Karachi, a total of 84 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive.

ARY News reported that elections will be held in six cantonment board areas of the city and the authorities have declared 84 polling stations in them as highly sensitive.

The details of polling stations established and deemed sensitive are as following:

Faisal Cantonment

88 polling stations 

18 highly sensitive stations

54 as sensitive stations

Korangi Cantonment 

16 highly sensitive stations

Clifton and Karachi Cantonment 

154 polling stations 

41 highly sensitive 

113 sensitive

Malir Cantonment 

25 polling stations 

9 highly sensitive

16 sensitive

The cantonment boards polls will take place on Sept 12. Major political parties, including the PTI, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), have fielded their candidates for the polls.
