Over 1,000 artists from 141 countries globally are set to attend World Culture Festival 2025, scheduled to be held in Karachi, showcasing global art, culture, and traditions.
A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Haider Shah reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming World Culture Festival 2025 in Karachi.
The Chief Secretary stated that the World Culture Festival event would promote “diplomacy through culture” and strengthen Pakistan’s cultural identity internationally.
Asif Haider Shah added that the festival would celebrate Sindh’s heritage, hospitality, and diversity, while fostering global harmony and boosting cultural tourism in Pakistan.

He stressed that the event would also highlight the province’s long-standing contribution to art and intercultural dialogue.
The Chief Secretary directed all departments to ensure the best arrangements for both citizens and international guests.
He instructed the Additional IG Karachi to implement strict security measures and KMC to complete road repair, cleaning, and beautification before the festival begins.
President Arts Council Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah announced that the festival would take place from October 30 to December 7.

He said artists from America, Europe, Africa, and Asia would perform, showcasing their music, dance, and traditions. He appreciated the Sindh government’s cooperation, saying it was key to the event’s success.
The Chief Secretary ordered K-Electric (KE) to ensure uninterrupted power at the Arts Council, while directing the Health Department, Fire Brigade, and Rescue 1122 to remain on alert throughout the festival.
He also emphasized effective traffic management, urging authorities to plan alternative routes and create special parking zones for participants.
It was decided that special committees, led by the Commissioner Karachi and the Additional IG Karachi, would monitor festival arrangements and ensure coordination among departments. A special desk at Karachi Airport will welcome foreign guests arriving for the event.
